Jonathan Fremaux
Managing Director
Jon studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics(PPE) at the University of Oxford, before starting in the sales and marketing sector at a rapidly expanding start-up in Manchester. He has worked for nearly twenty years, almost entirely in the professional fundraising sector, and in that time has represented more than fifty different charities ranging from small local causes to enormous international organisations raising in excess of £15 million.
In the 2010’s Jon consulted for a number of professional fundraising companies across the UK, US, Europe and Australia before founding Obsidian Marketing in 2020. Having navigated the challenges of a global pandemic, Obsidian Marketing is now firmly established as one of the regions leading direct sales, promotions and fundraising companies. Since then, Jon’s career has developed into a public speaking and professional training role where he has been asked to speak across the US and UK, and also in Spain and Malaysia.

I grew up in Greece and moved to the UK to become an artist. Ten years ago, i joined the sales industry and fell in love with it. Since then, i have worked in sales, administration, recruitment, events management, and office management.
Outside of work i am normally found Painting, cooking or at the gym.
I have been with Obsidian since we opened in 2020. The most important lesson i have learned is that with a clear goal and focus, success is achievable; sometimes, all it takes is time.

I started my career as a tradesman before moving into sales, so I know the importance of reliability, problem-solving, and getting the best results. I bring that same mindset to the field every day. Outside of work, I’m passionate about cooking—whether it’s testing new recipes or mastering my favorite dishes. Music is a huge part of my life, and my taste is all over the place. You’ll find me listening to everything from American rap and grime to drum and bass, heavy metal, rock, and dancehall. Whether I’m in the kitchen, at a gig, or working with customers, I always bring energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for what I do.

Carlton has been working with us since April of 2024.
He enjoys coming to work because he appreciates the people he works with. He values the autonomy in determining his success, as he believes individual effort is the primary factor influencing outcomes, which is an important aspect for him.

Romanin
Casey is a Canadian boy from Toronto who moved to the UK in October of 2024. He came to Obsidian with a background as a stand up comedian, writer, actor and producer for Film and TV. Like any good creative, Casey previously earned most of his money in bars and restaurants. Working with Obsidian has been a perfect combination of his customer service experience and creative performance background.
When Casey isn’t working you can usually find him either on a stage in a dingy pub, taking in a show on the west end, or soaking in a bath that is uncomfortably small for his large body.
